VSGML started production with a capacity of 6000 spindles to manufacture cotton yarn in 1965. Vardhman Special Steels was demerged from VTXL into a listed Company Vardhman Special Steels Ltd. (VSSL) and post demerger, VTXL is now a pure textile Company manufacturing yarn & fabric. Vardhman Group is a major integrated textiles producer in India. The Group was set-up in 1962 and since then, the Group has expanded manifold since then.
