How to remove tough grass stains on clothes
-Pretreat stains with enzyme detergent. Enzyme detergents are specifically designed to break down organic stains, like grass stains.
-If you don’t have an enzyme detergent on hand, mix equal parts distilled white vinegar and water. Apply to stains with a spray bottle and let soak for 30 minutes. Vinegar is acidic, which can help break down the stain. Mixing with water will help dilute the vinegar and prevent it Qfrom damaging the fabric.
-Both methods are safe to use on many different fabrics and colors, but it’s important to test any new cleaning method on an inconspicuous area of the garment first to make sure it doesn’t cause any damage.
-Once stains are pre-treated, wash the garment as you normally would with an oxygen laundry booster. Oxygen laundry boosters are a type of bleach that’s safe to use on colors. They work by releasing oxygen molecules that help break down stains.
-If stains persist, re-treat stains and run through another washing cycle before drying. It’s important to avoid drying clothes with any kind of stains on them as the heat can set the stain.

-Blot, don't rub. Rubbing can spread the stain and make it harder to remove.
-Use cold water. Hot water can set the stain.
-If the stain is still visible after washing, you may need to take the garment to a professional cleaner.
