In a move that redefines the intersection of sustainability and style, Birla Cellulose and Bhaskar Denims have joined forces to unveil an exclusive denim collection crafted with Liva Reviva™ M—India’s first mechanically recycled man-made cellulosic fibre made with up to 50% post-consumer textile waste.
This partnership brings together Birla Cellulose’s leadership in sustainable fibre innovation and Bhaskar Denims’ expertise in denim design and manufacturing, resulting in a collection that exemplifies circular fashion at scale.
At a time when the fashion industry faces mounting pressure from rising textile waste—with 92 million tons generated annually, according to the United Nations Environment Program—Liva Reviva™ M emerges as a transformative solution. Developed by Birla Cellulose, the fiber combines premium man-made cellulosic content with mechanically recycled textile waste, offering both performance and purpose.
“Liva Reviva™ M isn’t just another sustainable fibre—it’s the future of fashion itself,” said Mr. Manmohan Singh, Chief Marketing Officer, Birla Cellulose. “We’re not talking about incremental change, but about reshaping how fashion is made, worn, and reborn.”
For Bhaskar Denims, the collaboration is an opportunity to translate this breakthrough fiber into a tangible fashion statement. The company’s designers and technologists have worked closely with the Birla Cellulose team to create denim fabrics that retain the authentic character and durability of premium denim, while significantly reducing environmental impact.
“Working with Liva Reviva™ M has allowed us to merge the spirit of denim craftsmanship with the science of sustainability,” said a spokesperson from Bhaskar Denims. “This collaboration proves that circular materials can deliver both performance and aesthetics at par with virgin fibers.”
The collection stands as a testament to what can be achieved when fiber innovation meets textile craftsmanship—a partnership where environmental responsibility enhances creativity rather than constrains it.
