With an aim to create bigger and broader impact, Birla Cellulose collaborates actively with its value chain partners and works closely with organizations like, Canopy Planet, Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC), Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC), Changing Markets Foundation, Textile Exchange, WBSCD, amongst others to continually learn and apply the best practices within its global operations and across its value chain.
These products will be showcased at booth no. C41-C39 at Yarnex Trade Show, that would be held at Ludhiana, from 15th to 17th December 2023.

Through continuous research and development with help of its in-house R&D team, the company has introduced fibres with unique properties that cater to diverse applications in the textile industry. Birla Cellulose’s fibres Like Livaeco, Liva Reviva and other eco-enhanced variants can be traced with help of Green Track ™ platform. Green Track™ platform designed by Birla Cellulose helps trace origin of the fibre and bring transparency and traceability in the long and complex textile value chain, by using block cain technology. Through Green Track™ platform, Birla Cellulose along with their value chain partners will be able to track textile recycle material flow in the supply chain that too in real-time, from certified forests to the end consumers by scanning a QR code and helps the consumer make an informed purchase decision.
Circular Fibre and Waste Reduction
The company is also actively promoting its circular fibre Liva Reviva, that consists of up to 30% textile waste, aiming to reduce the large quantities of textile waste that is dumped into landfills. Birla Cellulose has successfully stabilized production of the Recycled Claimed Standard (RCS) certified product, Liva Reviva. The quality of the fibre remains comparable to the quality of fibre produced using virgin wood-based pulp. Making Liva Reviva a high-quality fibre that finds widespread applications amongst major global brands. Birla Cellulose’s current efforts are concentrated on developing products made with industrial waste, post-consumer waste and alternate feedstock. The use of alternate feedstock in total production would help in reducing the waste and a climate friendly solution.
