DuPont has launched the DuPont™ Tyvek® 500 HV Model 127 – a high visibility and hooded chemical protective garment, designed to protect its wearers working in demanding industries against multiple hazards. These hazards include exposure to chemical and biological substances, electrostatic and being struck by moving vehicles.

Particularly effective for protecting workers in low light levels, poor weather conditions, or close to heavy traffic, Tyvek® 500 HV Model 127 has applications such as in mining, construction, transportation, waste management, and the rail industry. Designed with vibrant fluorescent orange coloring and grey retroreflective bands, it ensures constant enhanced visibility and full-body protection for wearers during the day and at night.
By meeting Category III Type 5-B and 6-B and EN ISO 20471, RIS-3279 standards, Tyvek® 500 HV Model 127 combines high visibility with chemical, biological, and antistatic protection in a single garment, removing the need to purchase multiple products. To date, EN ISO 20471 classification is the highest safety standard available for high-visibility garments.
Its integrated hood, designed to fit a respirator, provides additional coverage, reinforcing protection against environmental hazards while maintaining wearer comfort and removing the need to purchase multiple products. In addition to the fluorescent orange coloring, strategically placed retroreflective bands form an ‘X’ on the garment’s back, helping to distinguish rearward and forward orientation.
Bio-motion taping is also positioned above the wrist, elbow, ankle, and knee to further boost visibility. These enhanced safety features clarify where workers are and which way they are facing, helping to reduce the likelihood of collisions and other visibility-related incidents.
With DuPont™ Tyvek® 500 HV Model 127, safety, comfort, and durability are combined. Made from high-quality Tyvek® material for exceptional durability, its breathable Tyvek® fabric and lightweight design (47 g/m2) ensure air circulation, flexibility, and ease of movement for excellent wearability.
