Kasim Textile Mills Pvt. Ltd. is a spinning and weaving unit with a 30 year old legacy in weaving. Since its inception, the company has galvanised to prominence as one of the leading manufacturers and exporters of greige/grey woven fabric and last year, they had a backward integration of a spinning unit at Virudhunagar in Madurai, Tamil Nadu.
Dive into a conversation with Mr. Sundaramurthy G, Business Development Manager, Kasim Textile Mills Pvt. Ltd. who talked in length with GTS NewsDesk at the Textile Fairs India, Mumbai edition held on 9 to 11 May 2024.
“We have set up a state of the art spinning unit with KTTM ring frames, having 14,592 spindle capacity, producing compact and spun yarns in regular viscose, micro modal and other sustainable yarns like tencel, excel and many more. We use fibres from two main suppliers, one is Aditya Birla and another is Lenzing fibres.” says Mr. Sundaramurthy as he introduces the company.
When asked about their production capacities, Mr. Sundaramurthy expresses, “with our current spindles, we are producing close to 15 to 20 tonnes per day in various varieties of ring spun (RS) yarn. With respect to our weaving unit in Madurai, we have a daily capacity of producing 65,000 to 70,000 mts per day of grey fabric in varieties of cotton, viscose, micro-modal and other blends of such fibres.”
“Our latest model is the yarn spinning unit in Virudhunagar and attending textile trade shows such as Textile Fairs India is a perfect platform to market our yarns. We plan to continue participating in many such fairs in order to make our product more accessible to the buyers and the market.” mentions Mr. Sundaramurthy.
