In Chhattisgarh, a factory of 1000 machines is coming up. There will be an investment of around Rs. 15 crore in this project.
Bhupesh Baghel, Chief Minister of the state laid the foundation stone of the factory in Mowa in Raipur. Women willing to work in this factory will be getting training also.
As per reports, initially, this factory will produce garments for leading Indian companies and these companies will provide raw materials also to this upcoming facility. Raipur Municipal Corporation will be instrumental in this process and the factory will be operated on Public Private Partnership (PPP) modal.
As the factory has less overhead, its products will be of low cost compared to production in metro cities.
Women in this region are happy with this initiative as they will get an employment opportunity near their homes.
It is worth mentioning here that prior to this a similar step has been taken where a factory in the state is producing a variety of garments under the brand name of Dannex (Dantewada Next).
