According to TexPro Intelligent Market Analysis Tool, previously, apparel imports from Vietnam reached US$5,257 million in July, US$3,801 million in June, US$1,232 million in May and US$2,719 million in the month 4.
The trend of increasing garment imports from Vietnam was recorded in the third quarter of 2022 when the import turnover reached $17.669 million, up from $7,753 million in the second quarter, and $15,972 million in the first quarter.
This figure last year was $13,308 million in the fourth quarter of 2021, $51 million in the third quarter of 2021 and $12 million in the second quarter of 2021.
Indonesia’s apparel imports from Vietnam reached $53,543 million in 2021, compared with $41.611 million in 2020.
Calculated in January – September 2022, import turnover of textiles and garments from Vietnam to Indonesia reached $41.394 million. In the opposite direction, Indonesia’s garment exports to Vietnam reached US$12,873 million in the period January-September 2022 and US$14.455 million in the whole of 2021.
