Hong Kong major EPIC Group to set-up Garment Manufacturing unit in Bhopal

New Delhi, Dec 27 (KNN) Hong Kong-based garment manufacturer, Epic Group has selected Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh for its first manufacturing project in India, reported Apparel Resources.

Revealing the details of its first-ever India project, Ranjan Mahtani, Executive Chairman, EPIC Group told Apparel Resources that the company is now committed to open its first vertical manufacturing set-up in Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), instead of Ranchi (Jharkhand), a location that was previously selected for factory establishment before Covid-19.

Expressing their commitment to start its first project in India, Ranjan said, “We are finalising 35 acres of land in Bhopal to open our new factory. We are committed to start our first project in India which will be a vertical set-up that will include four manufacturing units.”

To set up a high-end functional fabric unit in this vertical unit, Epic Group is in conversation with its far-east partners and technical partners, as per Apparel Resources.  

He also hinted that a team of EPIC Group including him is planning to visit India and meet Piyush Goyal, Minister of Textiles, Commerce and Industry and Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh in February, 2023 to further discuss about the India project of the group. (KNN Bureau)
