In conversation with Mr. Steve Park, Assistant Manager Sales Team and Mr. Dong Wook Lim, Assistant Manager Marketing Team from Sealon, Seoul, South Korea, who have participated in two F&A shows so far, share their experience and open up about their newest and groundbreaking innovations in deco films, along with their launch in India! “We met the second largest company in this field and believe that the potential is enormous when one is entering the Indian market and hope to get some good feedback from the visitors.” says Mr. Dong Wook Lim when asked about the quality of visitors they came across. He goes on to discuss the distinctions between the present F&A Show and the one they attended in Delhi. In his opinion, the marketplaces in Delhi and Bangalore are very distinct from one another and each has enormous potential.
Having participated in trade shows globally as well, the duo share their views on how the trade shows add value to their company. “We came to understand the trends in the current Indian market and by meeting so many garment manufacturers, it helps us to better understand the requirements of the client. If there is a specific requirement from the client in India, then we can develop a product through our R&D.”, expressed Mr. Lim. “A lot of vendors inquired about our reflective tapes which are often used by workers who work at night and in darker environments”, shares Mr. Steve Park when prompted about their most asked about product on display.

The company just unveiled their newest product, 100% recyclable polyester-based deco films for clothing, in response to the growing global conversation and importance of sustainability. Talks on producing more sustainable products and obtaining more sustainable certifications are underway with their R&D team. One of their biggest features is that they use polyester, which is 100% recyclable and reused, unlike many firms that produce deco films, which use PU or hazardous chemicals that cannot be recycled to create these ornamented tapes. All phases are completed internally because they have a full end-to-end manufacturing and research and development centre in South Korea. In addition, they offer technical assistance by conducting textile tests on the materials that the client sends them, such as hydrostatic and washing tests, and sharing the test results with the client.
