Ocean Lanka honoured at export awards

Colombo: Ocean Lanka, the joint circular knitting venture between Fountain Set, Brandix Lanka Limited, and Hirdaramani Group, has been honoured at the 25th edition of Sri Lanka's Presidential Export Awards.

In recent years, Ocean Lanka, which has a capacity of 75,000-80,000 lbs of fabric per day, has become one of the country's leading manufacturers of weft knitted fabric producing goods for global brands, such as Victoria’s Secret, Nike, Marks and Spencer, GAP, Adidas and Next.

At the awards, the company secured accolades for its 'outstanding contributions to the export industry'.

Initiated by the Sri Lankan Export Development Board (EDB) in 1981, the awards, which are acknowledged as the highest national recognition for export excellence in Sri Lanka, underscored Ocean Lanka’s commitment to setting industry standards and making a significant impact on the global market, the company said.

Welcoming Ocean Lanka's Merit Award in the Knitted Fabric category, Austin Au, managing director of Ocean Lanka commented: “We are truly honored to receive these prestigious awards for two consecutive years. This achievement is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and innovative spirit of the entire Ocean Lanka team. We remain committed to upholding the highest standards in the industry and contributing to the growth of Sri Lanka’s export sector.”
