Las Vegas — ESG (environmental, social, and governance) initiatives are top of mind for the Standard Fiber team as the company prepares to meet buyers at Las Vegas Market.
From the company’s showroom on the 15th floor in Building C, Standard Fiber is highlighting its home textile products and technology introductions for current and future buyers during market, building on its efforts on the West Coast that included construction of a new filling facility and distribution center to provide a domestic fulfillment resource for freight-sensitive bedding products in Henderson, Nev., last year.
“The key theme for us during Las Vegas Market is “Always Evolving,” which is a direct outcome of the consistent dialog we have with our customers to help accelerate their success,” said Brandon Wells, executive vice president/general manager, mattress division. “Our new showroom provides us with the perfect setting to have these conversations with our many existing customers and to introduce all Standard Fiber has to offer to prospective customers.”
During Las Vegas Market, Standard Fiber will highlight:
Fire retardant mattress cover solutions, including glassFRee – glass free fire-retardant solutions that are antimony free and aid in passing 16 CFR Part 1633.
Sustainovation – Standard Fiber’s state of renewal innovations that include bio-based antimicrobial treatments, bio-based foam, compostable packaging solutions, H2eCO textile finishing processes, GRS certified post-consumer recycled polyester, PFAS free options and its carbon reduction program.
Elements of Sleep – The company will showcase several bedding products in its showroom highlighting exciting materials to help consumers sleep cool and soundly, including the new Ionic+ antimicrobial performance yarns which provide protection for the lifetime of the textile.
Officials noted that Standard Fiber is building on an enthusiastic response to its initiatives at Heimtextil earlier this month.
“We continued to see sustainability at the forefront of many of our conversations with customers and prospects at Heimtextil 2023,” said Chad Altbaier, CCO. “However, it’s clear that consumers are expecting an equivalent level of performance and innovation for environmentally responsible home textiles, supported by third-party validation of the claims being made.”
