Cartersville, Ga. – Surya is celebrating its 10th year of recognition among a list of leading independent, entrepreneurial businesses.
The multi-category home furnishings producer has been named to the 2023 Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States. It was first included on the list in 2011.
Companies on the 2023 Inc. 5000 are ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2019 to 2022. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2019. They must be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit and independent — not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2022. The minimum revenue required for 2019 is $100,000; the minimum for 2022 is $2 million.
“We are incredibly honored and excited to be recognized for the tenth time on the Inc. 5000 list. Sustaining growth during uncertain times reflects the unwavering commitment and perseverance of our team, the loyalty of our customers, and the collaboration of our partners,” said Satya Tiwari, president of Surya.
The company’s 110% growth of a 3-year period has come as Surya steadily expanded beyond its core area rug and soft home categories into furniture and case goods to move into new retail channels. Earlier this year, Surya acquired Global Views to better penetrate the higher-end interior design segment with a wider range of accent pieces and accessories.
“Running a business has only gotten harder since the end of the pandemic,” said Inc. editor-in-chief Scott Omelianuk. “To make the Inc. 5000—with the fast growth that it requires—is truly an accomplishment.”
