Adds executive leadership, builds out bedding team

New York – Trident Global Inc., the U.S. division of the Trident Group, has announced a fundamental restructuring of its team.

Julie McKenzie has joined as the chief commercial officer. She will split leadership responsibilities with Jeffrey Kambak, CEO – U.S. operations.

In her new role, McKenzie will be responsible for marketing, merchandising and licensing for Trident in the U.S. From her home base in Bentonville, Ark., she will also support the Walmart and Sam’s partnerships and business.

Her career spans retail – with merchandising roles at Dillard Department Stores and Walmart – as well as licensing at Viacom / Nickelodeon. Her home textiles experience includes leadership positions at both Welspun and Himatsingka.

“After a few years out of the home category, I am thrilled to jump back in the business, and honored to join Trident at a very exciting point in our evolution. I look forward to working with our team and our retailers to continue to bring best-in-industry product to our retailers and to explore our opportunities across the market,” she said.

Kambak will maintain his role overseeing U.S. operations and sales over the beach and bath towel businesses.

“We’re truly excited to add Julie to the team here in the U.S.,” said Kambak. “We’ve been friends for many years, and she possesses strengths in areas I wasn’t able devote the appropriate level of focus to. This should be fun to watch – both from inside and outside the organization”.

In further organizational expansion news, the company is dividing its bath and bedding to increase its focus on key areas. After doubling its sheet capacity in the previous 7 months, the manufacturer determined it was time to create a dedicated bedding team.

Trident has hired industry veterans Daisey Martin (EVP – bedding), Kyra Fox (design director – bedding) and Allison Kenny (director of sales and marketing – bedding) to spearhead growth in the bedding space.
