Bentonville, Arkansas. – The new senior vice president of the Home Division at Walmart U.S. is a 16-year veteran of the company.

Creighton Kiper, formerly VP of Beauty for Walmart U.S., will now lead merchandising at what the retailer describes as “one of Walmart’s key merchandising portfolios.”

Announcing the promotion, Walmart said Kiper is “bringing his expertise in strategic business transformation to continue growing, evolving, and building credibility for Walmart Home across digital and U.S. stores for Walmart’s 145 million weekly customers.”

Vinima Shekhar, previously VP of Wellness for Walmart U.S., succeeds Creighton as in his former role.

“Creighton is a transformative retail executive whose vision and leadership steered some of Walmart’s key merchandising divisions to their full potential,” the company said.

While he was the VP of Wellness OTC, Walmart launched the GNC brand and grew exclusive brands like Spring Valley to over $1 billion in annual revenue. Most recently as VP of Beauty, Kiper transformed the retailer’s beauty assortment and customer experience. The goal: to shift perception and grow Walmart’s authority in the industry.

“Since joining Walmart in 2008, Creighton has held leadership roles across various merchandising categories guiding several successful turnaround efforts with his passion for problem solving and reputation for bold, innovative strategy,” the company said.
