Bentonville, Ark. – Walmart and The Gap are marking the one-year anniversary of their exclusive Gap Home at Walmart debut by expanding into a new category.
Gap Home Kids launches today on Walmart.com with 200 items across kids’ bedding, bath, pillows, throws, rugs and window treatments. Priced between $20-$79, the collection incorporates Gap’s signature chambrays, stripes and washed denim with kid-friendly colorways and prints.
Window panels include prints and semi sheers.
Comforters, sheets, throws, shower curtains, bath rugs, towels and window panels are all constructed of organic cotton. GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) and Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certifications feature throughout the collection. Tufted poly area rugs are machine washable.
Towels, shower curtains and bath rugs are made of organic cotton.
“Our partnership with Gap is a big part of that strategy as we continue to expand into new categories following the introduction of Gap Home last summer and Gap Home Furniture in the fall,” said Anthony Sohoo, EVP of home at Walmart U.S. “The customer response has been fantastic across the entire Gap Home assortment, which includes furniture, décor, tabletop, bedding and bath options that offer timeless American style for modern living.”
In addition to the online launch, Gap Home Kids will made a foray into the physical space. For a limited time, the collection will be shown Hunker House, an experiential showroom from digital media brand Hunker, in the Abbot Kinney neighborhood of Venice Beach starting in late June.
“With the new Gap Home Kids line, we are expanding into home categories to meet the home décor and furniture needs for the entire family, at low prices that are parent-approved and styles that are kid-approved,” said Sohoo.
