ECO PASSPORT by OEKO-TEX® is an independent certification system for chemicals, dyes and auxiliaries. A multi-stage verification process analyses whether the products and each individual ingredient meet specific requirements with regard to sustainability, safety and compliance with statutory regulations.

What do you get?

With completion of the certification, the applicant receives the following documents:

• RSL report: A short report on the result of the CAS number screening

• Laboratory report: A report on the analysis results

• Certificate: The certificate confirms the successful certification of the products named on it. It is associated with ZDHC MRSL Conformance on Level 1, 2 or 3 (depending on whether the optional self-assessment and on-site visit was done)

• Self-assessment report: A short report about the result of the evaluation of the self assessment questionnaire

• On-site visit report: A short report on the results of the on-site visit

How is the ECO PASSPORT integrated in the OEKO-TEX® system?

The ECO PASSPORT includes virtually the complete textile and leather production chain as the chemicals, dyes and auxiliaries certified with it are used at all levels and in all areas of textile production. On the one hand it integrates perfectly with the STANDARD 100 and LEATHER by OEKO-TEX®, on the other hand, it serves as proof of the use of sustainable chemical products for STeP by OEKO-TEX® certification.
