Coats Epic AWF is an environmentally friendly, anti-wicking thread for water-resistant outdoor wear and workwear.

It is part of our new range of anti-wick sewing threads that are free of perfluorinated compounds (PFCs). The anti-wick PFC-free threads for apparel end use are offered in the Coats polyester thread brands Epic and Gral.

-The threads have a PFC-free anti-wick finish which prevents the capillary action of water transportation through the thread in the seam.
-high-tech corespun thread that combines a high tenacity polyester filament core with a polyester fibre wrap to create to make a versatile and productive thread.
-The high strength polyester filament core provides excellent seam appearance and strength.
-It is specially lubricated to deliver outstanding sewing performance in the most demanding applications.
-It has excellent abrasion resistance which helps you to achieve flexibility and durability in garment seams.
-The fibres on the surface of the thread help to "lock" the thread in the seam, limiting thread movement and helping to prevent runback.

Epic AWF has a specially formulated finish to deliver a high degree of water resistance. We have made this globally available in an extensive range of colours.
