M-type, Flat or unsupported yarn is usually made of 12 or 23 micron film that is metalized with aluminium and color coated with resin by high technique on one side for silver and gold and colors are coated with colored resin on both sides after metalizing.

M-type yarn finds its applications in pre-dyed woven textiles, embroidery, velvet, laces, ribbons and upholstery. Flat yarn is popularly used for Yarn-dyed weaving fabrics and as a fancy yarn component.

Other thicknesses of the polyester film such as 36 micron, 50 micron and 75 micron can be supplied on request with the minimum quantity to be specified. All though all widths are available to order, we stock lines mainly of 1/69” and 1/100.
